Payment & Postage

What you bid is what you pay: all lots are subject to a Buyer’s Premium of 0%, inclusive of VAT. The only extra cost is postage and insurance.

Payment

All buyers must pay the full purchase price within 10 working days of the live auction. No items will be dispatched without full payment.

• Bank transfer (BACS / SWIFT) is our preferred method, especially on first-time orders.
• Debit / credit cards — Visa and Mastercard (no American Express), payments up to £1,000, UK residents only unless agreed in advance. A handling surcharge of 2.5% per transaction may be charged. Cards are not accepted on first-time orders unless proof of identity and address is provided before the live auction; all card payments must be provided with proof of identity and two proofs of address, and cards must be registered to the bidder’s postal address.
• Cheque — paid into our account or posted to COR Ltd, PO Box 12131, Harlow CM20 9LY.

Postage & packaging

• UK Special Delivery £20 per parcel (£1–£1,000)
• UK Special Delivery £25 per parcel (£1,001–£2,500)
• Courier for parcels with an individual value of £3,000 upwards (£80 + insurance)
• European and international parcels — courier only (£80 + insurance)

Please note we no longer send coins to third parties unless by prior agreement. All import and customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer; if a parcel is returned to us because the recipient has not paid their customs duties, or refused the parcel, we reserve the right to charge extra handling and postage costs.

International customers

If a parcel is refused by the buyer and/or is lost in transit during the return, we reserve the right to deduct an insurance excess fee of £250. If you have a problem with customs charges we advise you to contact the courier company to reclaim the duties after you have received your coins — the correct method is to take delivery of your order and reclaim any overpayment of duties later. We are more than happy to help where we can, for example by providing proof of an investment-gold purchase invoice. Insurance is only covered on couriered items; any request to ship internationally by Royal Mail Tracked postage (which does not cover insurance) is at the buyer’s risk.

Commission bids

For bidders unable to participate, commission bids will be executed free of charge. Such bids must be agreed in writing and received at least 24 hours before live bidding begins.
